Hawai'i Source Education Outreach
The Digital Bus is a mobile science and technology lab supporting K–12 schools and community organizations throughout Maui Nui. As a part of the Hawai'i Source Education Outreach program, this mobile learning platform offers field-based, engaging science projects at outdoor locations and at school sites. More

Hawaiian Homestead Technology (HHT)
Akimeka provided network engineering and technical support to Hawaiian Homestead Technology (HHT), a start-up company that will be training and employing Native Hawaiians in Anahola, Kaua‘i. HHT, under a partnership with Anahola Hawaiian Homes Association (AHHA) and the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA), is a contractor in a Native American digitization project for the Department of Defense.

Native Hawaiian Technical Infrastructure Build and Assist Project
Akimeka partnered with Papa Ola Lokahi, a federally funded Native Hawaiian health care organization, to conduct a needs assessment on the status of telemedicine initiatives in the Native Hawaiian community.

Mobile Care Health Project
The Mobile Care Health Project provides medical and dental services to indigent populations remotely located on Hawai'i’s Big Island through a clinic located in a Winnebago van. Akimeka’s Web-based telemedicine solution provides:

• Paperless digital medical records and digital imaging capability through a customized Internet Web browser
• Electronic database accessible by authorized users over a secure network connection

Pacific Island Health Care Project
The goal of this project was to create a standardized electronic consultation and referral network that provides remotely located clinicians greater access to tertiary care specialists. Akimeka provided software and hardware development and contracting and training support.
