Akimeka has partnered with several federal government agencies to establish the Joint Information Technology Center (JITC) in Maui. The first of its kind in the Pacific, this state-of-the-art research and development hub supports the Department of Defense by developing and sustaining technology solutions. As the primary support contactor at the JITC, Akimeka provides high-level software engineering and application support. The JITC was dedicated in May 2003 and it was rededicated in August 2008.
