We provide valuable background and expertise for delivering extremely flexible solutions that help our Government customers make critical decisions and achieve new levels of performance and productivity. Akimeka is committed to delivering robust enterprise solutions that support the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) standards, and we ensure to meet the most stringent requirements, whether it is industry standards for security, software engineering, or other information technology or information management (IT/IM) best practices.

Designed to meet Government and DoD Information Assurance (IA) standards, our systems approach to information and cyber security strike a balance between confidentiality, integrity, and information availability, providing deployable on-site certification and accreditation (C&A) support teams. Our risk assessments include a review of all Information Technology system security documentation against applicable guidance and legislation, including the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM), the DOC’s IT Security Program Policy and Minimum Implementation Standards, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 199 and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications (SPs).

Akimeka provides for many agencies Program and Project Management leadership in such tasks as developing a Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) program; performing a Control Objectives for Information Technology (COBIT) review; etc. We are the information technology support for agencies that have limited time and staff to perform all tasks required to assess, plan, analyze, and implement new processes, procedures, and technologies for critical protection, such as regular vulnerability scans and risk assessments.

In accordance with Section 508 compliance standards, Akimeka’s Assistive Technology professionals perform services for implementing Assistive Technology tools and provide training in the form of documentation, courseware, and one-on-one or instructor-led, for individuals with vision, deaf/hard of hearing (DHOH), and mobility impairments.

Our executive, green belt, and black belt Lean Six Sigma professionals design educational workshops to meet and exceed our client’s specific business needs and requirements. These workshops are developed to accommodate diverse audiences and include hands-on experiments.
