PRESIDENT, AKIMEKA, LLCIMAGE:  John Harris, Akimeka’s President and COO

Nancy Margolis became President of wholly-owned subsidiary Energetics Incorporated in May 2010. She joined Energetics Incorporated in 1984 and previously served as Vice President of Energetics’ Science and Technology Division. Upon the change in management at Akimeka, Nancy assumed the duties as President, Akimeka, LLC and serves as the segment leader for VSE’s IT, Energy and Management Consulting Group.

During her tenure, Ms. Margolis developed and managed top-flight teams tackling some of today’s biggest energy and technology challenges. Her division provided technical, communications, and strategic planning support to U.S. Department of Energy programs in Industry, Biomass, Hydrogen, and Building Technologies, as well as Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Prior to joining Energetics, Ms. Margolis worked at ARINC Corporation from 1981-1984, focusing on power plant reliability. She also worked as a chemist for Bethlehem Steel Corporation from 1977-1978. She holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park.   Ms. Margolis currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Visiting Committee of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Maryland at College Park.

As Vice President of Akimeka, Mr. Gabriel is responsible for the overall corporate activities. Prior to his role, he was Controller of Akimeka. Mr. Gabriel’s responsibilities include working directly with President and Chief Operating Officer developing strategic financial plans and business direction. During his time with Akimeka, he has prepared company organization budgets. He supervises the day-to-day accounting, including managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Payroll, General Ledgers, Contracts, Audits, month end close processes, revenue recognition and reconciliations. Scott brings over 20 years of private sector management and financial experience from the Financial Industry. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Finance from the University of Southwestern Louisiana.

JR joined Akimeka, LLC in 2000 and now serves as Vice President of Operations and Corporate Services. Along with overseeing multiple programs, his corporate responsibilities include Purchasing, Fixed Asset Inventory, ISO 9001:2008 Certification, Quality Management System, and chairing the infrastructure control board, which oversees the company’s technical infrastructure.

JR brings over 30 years of private sector experience in information management with an emphasis on program oversight, project management and planning, employee management, customer relations, budgets, analysis, design, integration, development and training. His background spans the insurance, healthcare, e-health, telecommunications, finance, publishing and Department of Defense (DoD) disciplines.

Jennifer joined G&B Solutions in September 2004 as a Senior Software Developer. Upon the completion of the Akimeka and G&B merger in 2014, Jen took on the role of Vice President of Operations where she has responsibility for oversight of Federal programs and projects. Her background includes software design and development, database design and development, technical management, and project management. She has experience in consulting in telecommunications, healthcare, non-profit, state and federal government.

Jen holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia. She volunteers regularly supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation and her alma mater sorority Alpha Chi Omega.
